We work with our clients to form the design brief, making rough sketches to convey the details, and take accurate measurements.
When we are happy that all the details have been recorded, we go away and produce scale drawings…(Also hand drawn).
After the designs have been agreed upon, it’s time to start preparing the materials.
At Mooney Bespoke Limited, we believe that handmade means that all of the woodworking elements of our work are made in-house. All of our doors start out as rough sawn stock which has to be cut and planned to size before glueing up, then it goes into our paint shop.
So, we don’t just buy doors and paint them and tell you they are handmade. Kyle does the design, prepares the rough materials, and builds the furniture so, he knows every square inch of every job that goes through the workshop.
We select only the best materials for our projects that have been sustainably harvested from FSC registered forests.
Our plans for the future are to connect with woodland and environmental charities to make donations for planting trees for each project we do. The ultimate goal would be to plant our own woodland.
Our plan to plant trees is to offset the carbon that is produced to create our work.
It also serves to constantly replenish the hardwood forests so that future generations of woodworkers have a sustainable source of materials.
We also use water-based paint systems without harmful solvents and lower VOCs which are both harmful to the environment, the painter and the end user.
If you have a bespoke kitchen or furniture request, please get in touch with a call, email or form message and we will get back to you shortly.
